Open up the template parameters from the Template Manager (Extensions -> Templates, click the template title "bold") to view the parameter options. These options will help you to quickly customise the way Bold displays.
This sets the overall width of the layout in pixels. Simple enter a numerical figure in the box.
Determines the type of width settings used for the columns - either a percentage value (%) or a pixel value (px). In either case, make sure you leave enough room for the content area in the middle, or you may have layout problems. Remember also that some block-level elements (such as images) can also force the width of the central column (as well as the side columns), so consider the widths of any images you may want to use before adjusting these values.
The width of the Left column (which displays the LEFT module positions), either as a percentage of pixel value. Simply enter a numerical figure here.
The width of the Right column (which displays the RIGHT module positions), either as a percentage of pixel value. Simply enter a numerical figure here.
The diagram opposite shows the module positions available for use in the Bold template. Any of the module positions will be fully "collapsed" when not in use - that is to say, when no modules are loaded into a particular position, that position will be elegantly disabled.
This allows for a massive array of different layout configurations - without ever needing to touch a line of code. Coupled with the flexibility of the Layout Parameters gives you huge amount of customisation at your fingertips.
The names of the available module positions are:
